  In Fukuoka's main city, Hakata, the Daimyo area is a high-sensitivity neighborhood where unique fashion and dining establishments gather in narrow alleys. Just a step off the main street, our shop catches the eye with its charming lattice doors and white noren curtains. Known as a sushi restaurant where adults can enjoy a relaxing meal, our establishment is a talented shop that earned one Michelin star in 2014.

  Introduction of our chef
  Kumagai Takashi, the owner, gained experience at sushi and Japanese restaurants such as 'Tenjaku' in Nakasu-Kawabata, Hakata, before becoming independent in July 2009. He values local Kyushu ingredients and is committed to providing dishes that emphasize local production for local consumption and a sense of the seasons. Every morning, Mr. Kumagai personally goes to the market to procure carefully selected ingredients, and he insists on using Kyushu-produced seafood, vegetables, and rice.

  Characteristics of the dish
  Sushi using traditional Edomae techniques such as vinegared kohada, marinated tuna, and kombu-marinated flounder is complemented by citrus aromas, bringing variety to the entire course. Additionally, we pay attention to the side dishes, including seasonal vegetables served as ohitashi and sunomono, as well as our special chawanmushi, providing comforting flavors.

  The atmosphere inside the store
  The interior is a bright and sophisticated space with a white theme. Coupled with the warm personality of the owner, Mr. Kumagai, even first-time visitors can enjoy a relaxing dining experience without feeling nervous. There are 8 seats at the counter, and we also have private rooms available for up to 6 guests.
