My son 15 and sometimes a picky eater, and I had a FABULOUS omakase sushi lunch at Gion Tsuzaki. The chef and his assistant are incredibly attentive and gracious. The food is extraordinary. Everything was delicious, fresh and well made. The place is small and cozy, seeing the chef make the meal right in front of us was such a wonderful experience. No rush, no fuss, just fabulous food and great service at a super affordable price. Thank you for making our time in Japan so much more especial.

Highly recommended omakase sushi experience!!
We tried the 11 sushi pieces course and everything was delicious, best sushi we have ever tried. The owner is very gentle and nice, clearly loves his job. The atmosphere is casual and despite the language barrier we had the most fun.
We will visit again for sure next time in Kyoto!
