From the moment we sat down at Gion Daiki - it was clear this was about to be a dining experience like no other. Having the Chef & his wife kindly welcome us, we were treated to a unique range of dishes which made ones taste buds dance. The freshness of the fish, the inventiveness of plates offered & fact that each dish was given an explanation as served was great. If you want to witness authentic dining in Kyoto - look no further than Gion Daiki. They are deserving of Michelin level attention.

    A feast of seasonal vegetables gathered from various places centered around Kyoto. This is a course of dishes where you can fully enjoy the highest quality seasonal ingredients such as fresh fish, vegetables, and meat with sushi and creative kaiseki that change with the seasons. Welcome drink: sake or soft drink. Menu example: welcome drink, appetizers, steamed dishes, sashimi platter, simmered dishes, grilled dishes, nigiri, soup, dessert.
