Shimbashi Tamakiya is a long-established shop that has been making tsukudani since 1782.
Here, you can try your hand at making onigiri, and the "Onigiri Work shop in TAMAKIYA," a workshop in English (French), is held every weekday only.
You will serve rice from your own hitsu (ladle) and make your own original onigiri by freely using our specialty tsukudani and furikake.
Tsukudani is a delicious side dish made by boiling down small fish, shellfish, seaweed, etc. with soy sauce, sugar, mirin, etc!
Rice balls made with tsukudani are one of the most nostalgic tastes for Japanese people.
