Just a 1-minute walk from the Atomic Bomb Dome, you’ll find "Mitchan Sohonten," the birthplace of Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki.

The now-standard "with soba" option and the style of eating with a special spatula, which has become a hallmark, all originated from "Mitchan's" ideas.

At our restaurant, you can enjoy Hiroshima's famous okonomiyaki, featuring the current standard "with soba" and the unique spatula for tasting our special sauce. These concepts all come from our restaurant’s innovations.

We have been a perfect izakaya for lunch and dinner in Hiroshima, accompanying the city's post-war recovery history. Our commitment lies in cooking with multiple people to ensure a consistent taste each day, eliminating differences between cooks and providing the same deliciousness to all customers.

We use freshly picked cabbage every day and adjust the cutting style according to the season and condition to reduce texture variation. During holiday seasons, we use about 1 ton of cabbage to steam and bake our dishes to perfection.
