Details

Breakfast in the tea ceremony is simple.

It consists of onigiri rice balls, egg dishes, pickles and soup.
Onigiri are prepared early in the morning, carefully prepared, and ready for the guests' arrival.
The rice used is "Tsuyahime" rice, which has been certified by the government as a special A rice of the highest quality.
Rice balls are made on the spot using rice cooked with sincerity.
One of the most beloved dishes of the Japanese people is a warm, freshly made onigiri.
The mellow aroma and rich flavor of freshly cooked rice fills your mouth.

The meal is followed by a tea ceremony.
In this tea ceremony experience, which combines a short meditation with the world of Zen, you will watch the beautiful process of preparing the tea bowl and enjoy the finest matcha green tea and lovely sweets.

There will be a short meditation time.
We will enjoy sweet treats.
The tea will be prepared by the master of the tea house using the finest matcha green tea.
The Zen scrolls will be explained to the guests.
Guests will have the opportunity to try their hand at making their own tea.

Our tea ceremony experience is not just a ceremony.
Japanese Zen, martial arts, tea ceremony, and other cultures begin with learning gestures, forms, and movements. Through the movements, one learns how to cultivate the mind to reach peace of mind in spite of various changing circumstances.
This is not a mere ritual, but rather a way of asking questions such as "Why is such a gesture necessary? and "explanation of utensils such as kettles, tea bowls, etc." are essential to verbal communication. Our guided tours are conducted by nationally certified interpreters, who are experts in the language, and who have practiced the tea ceremony for more than five years before serving as master of the tea ceremony. This program is an opportunity to experience the tea ceremony, a way of cultivating the Japanese spirit.
